Priority Group Activation Secondary Node

I want to keep all new and existing traffic on a secondary node after a failure and resumption of the primary. This is a very flaky application, however, so we would like to fail back to the primary if the secondary fails without manual intervention- meaning manual resume is off the table. Any ideas? Thanks!

  • Yes. Create two priority group and assign secondary memeber as higher value 10 and primary memeber less 5 (priority group activation= less then 0)

    It will solve issue.

OK, that's a bit clearer, however I'm still not sure it solves the problem. I need all traffic to start out on the primary. At the point of primary failure I want all existing and new traffic to fail to the secondary group. I want all new and existing traffic to stay on the secondary group until the secondary itself fails, then fallback to the primary.

In my understanding the proposed solution would start all traffic on the secondary. I don't want to do that.

I'm not quite following. Can you spell out the settings a little more clearly?
