GTM sync question.

Hi experts, have a question on GTM to GTM sync question. Lets say there are 2 x Datacentres, each having a single GTM and LTM. So GTM1 and LTM1 belong to DC1 and GTM2 and LTM2 belong to DC2. LTM1 and LTM2 have been sucessfully added into GTM1. (They show green). When sucking configuration on GTM2 from GTM1 (adding them in the same sync-group), LTM2 shows green because it is local, but LTM1 shows red as it is remote. What needs to be done to correct this?

 

Also, Now lets say some admin ignored this and made changes any changes on GTM2, then as GTM1 got updated, will GTM1 also show LTM1 now red since it got updated from GTM2?

    Without much troubleshooting, I am guessing you haven't run the following from GTM2 using LTM1's IP address: 

    bigip_add

    See this for adding LTM to GTM.

    I would check if there is there firewall between between GTM2 and LTM1. Port 4353 and 22 allowed ?
