F5 not sending traffic to Web pool
Hello All, I am having issues with a new configured F5 big-IP that everything works fine as follows. traffic from the client is coming to the firewall which is then natted to the private network. (works) the Load balancer ( Virtual server) IP is accessible and request is sent to the virtual server. and from the big ip to the pool is not sent. connection between the F5 to the pool is fine and vice versa and pool and nodes are available (green). connection between web-server and F5 is through Https (443). configuration F5 as follows: F5 Virtual IP : 192.168.1.41 self IP: int 1 : 10.10.10.14 self IP int 2 : 192.168.1.41 web server pool : 10.10.10.X range with class c subnet. SSL is configured between the client to F5 as clientssl and between the server and F5 as serverssl. source address translation is automap. I am having trouble why it doesn't work and is trying to find out the problem.85Views0likes8CommentsMaintenance Page
currently if all 4 servers go down all requests are routed to a 5th server that will display a user friendly page notifying the user that there is a technical problem and we are working on it. My question, is there a better way to do this?? Is there some built in way in the F5 to send a user friendly message that there is a technical issue without using another server?? Hi, I create the F5-LTM PowerShell module back in 2016 and have been attempting to maintain it since then. I'm about to move jobs and I will be in a role where I don't have any access to physical or virtual F5s and so I won't be able to continue to test the module. I'm hoping to find an individual or two who is interested in taking over the maintenance. It typically hasn't been that much, maybe just a few hours a quarter. Please respond here or shoot me a note at joel74 (@) gmail if you're interested. Thanks, Joel447Views1like1CommentCipher suite mismatch advertisement/warning
Hi, this issue is linked to: https://community.f5.com/t5/technical-forum/cipher-suites-supported-12-1-5-3/m-p/321291#M271493 Finally we have decided to leave only ECDHE ciphers. As I said, maybe it is too restrictive and non-technical users who try to access the service but use a browser not compatible with the cipher suites, we want them to be informed that they should update their browser or receive a message they can understand. In short, the idea is to know if there is any way that in the case that the client cannot negotiate any cipher suite, an error message can be displayed by means of an iRule or similar. How are you all using AI in your day-to-day jobs? Are you using it to create a rough draft of code you then check before implementing? Using it to write emails or other things for you? Using it to check text? Using it for serious business? Using it for fun? One of the funnier things I've seen recently is when I was bemoaning the increasing volume of ChatGPT-generated spam posts, and a colleague sent me a couple screenshots.
