Lab license for physical gear?

Hello,   I have a possibility to buy two F5 units (3600s) for my lab, but without any license or software installed. My question is:   can I purchase a lab license, or is a lab license limite...

Hi Mlenhart,

 

you can't load a LTM Lab License on a regular 3600er units. You have to license those units regulary via your F5 sales contact. But keep in mind that those units do already have a limited support.

I guess the best (and also cheapest) option to setup a Dev environment would be to buy one/two LTM Lab License and host them on a Virtualization Plattform of your choice.

You may also ask your F5 sales contact if he's able/willing to buy one/two F5 Strongbox Units (aka. Not For Resale Units) for evaluation purposes. A LTM Strongbox is a hardware unit of your choice, with renewable full featured / cutomizable 30/45-day licenses. Compared to regular units the cost of those units are somewhat small...
