Hello! You have to copy the base image and the hotfix to /shared/images folder. Then create a .ucs file and offload it to a secure server. Reactivate your license before upgrading to ensure your Service check date is after the release date of the software you're installing. Then begin your install to an inactive/new volume. Once teh software is installed, your config is imported/converted and you can boot from the new volume (volume you performed the install too). After the device reboots to the newly upgraded volume, run your tests to ensure all is working. If you have problems you can boot back to your known working volume. If you've never done an upgrade, I recommend trying it via an eval license or purchase a lab license for $96 and install it on a free vmware esx host.
Hi How would you switch back to the old version? would you do it via cli or gui? would you just type the command reboot volume HD1.3 etc ?
cheers
