Virtual IP to name resolution

Hi, Recently I added a pool and Virtual IP for one of our web url into BIG-IP version 12.1.2 Build 0.0.249 We are able to access the url using the IP address but not able to access using the name. ...

  • What diagnostics have you performed?
  • Is the entry in DNS? Can your client resolve it?
  • Have you tested from a client using curl? What did curl say?
  • Does your client have a proxy config that is sending the traffic a different way with name vs IP?
  • Have you performed a tcpdump at either end of the connection?
