AWS LTM keeps displaying "configuration utility restart"

I have an AWS LTM instance that uses the BigIP from the marketplace.

It has worked fine in the past.

https://devcentral.f5.com/questions/aws-f5-appliance-25mbps-good-stuck-in-quotconfiguration-utility-restarting-quot

But the solution didn't help.

admin@(ip-10-0-0-47)(cfg-sync )(INOPERATIVE)(/Common)(tmos) create /sys management-ip 52.21.81.175/255.255.255.0
admin@(ip-10-0-0-47)(cfg-sync )(INOPERATIVE)(/Common)(tmos) save /sys config
Unexpected Error: Configuration cannot be saved unless mcpd is in the running phase. Save was canceled. See "show sys mcp" and "show sys service". If "show sys service" indicates that mcpd is in the run state, but "show sys mcp" is not in phase running, issue the command "load sys config" to further diagnose the problem.
admin@(ip-10-0-0-47)(cfg-sync )(INOPERATIVE)(/Common)(tmos) show sys mcp

  • What version of code are you running ? I had this issue previously with 11.6.0.4.0.420-HF4 https://devcentral.f5.com/s/feed/0D51T00006i7au8SAA It was resolved by F5 through an engineering fix but was supposed to be fixed in the next release
  • Hm, I don't know I tore the the whole thing to start up --- I went through all the instructions to get big IP on AWS but still haven't gotten it running. Have you been able to use the document as is to get it working?

Hello TTF888, Which AMI are you deploying? Knowing whether it is Hourly Billing or a BYOL license will help in troubleshooting. What is the output from “tmsh load sys config”? It looks like the configuration is not loading, the command above may point to something it is not liking. Have you added or removed any interfaces after you launched the instance the first time?
