Can I create HA without going through Config Sync/HA Utility?
Hi all,
I have been deploying based on "external" and "internal" VLANs/Interfaces. Even the setup config utility would be asking for these two VLANs and it would be a breeze just to follow the config utility.
Customer is now saying they do not have "External" and "Internal" subnets. Traffic comes from an office building internally (not Internet) to reach this F5 appliance in an off-site data centre. When the traffic that is coming to this F5 appliance, it comes as 10.x.x.x/24 and the servers supposed to be behind F5 are also in the 10.x.x.x/24 range.
So, I have skipped the config utility, and manually created a VLAN to communicate with their server farm. However for HA, I can't create another VLAN with the same subnet mask. I have connected a regular copper port from one F5 device to another and attempted and successfully created a VLAN over this copper port interface.
My question is, how do I create HA between two devices without going through Config Sync/HA Utility setup since it will always ask for "external" and "internal" VLANs?
